Hello.. I'm having problems with video files ceasing to play, or
pausing and slowing down the whole system and then playing a small part
unsync'd with the audio when i switch to and fro programs. The
resolution, format and length of the video files doesn't seem to change
anything(although I did get the videos from espn.com to pop-up for me
with no problems.. not sure how those work). It's weird and
erratic--indicative of a driver issue--but I've tried everything and I
can't fix it.

My system has a good PC P & C 300w 1U PSU with plenty of power for
everything, and it's under-taxed with virtually no USB peripherals and
a basic combo drive/hard drive. It's a mini-ITX Intel 815EG with an
Intel P3 1.4Ghz, 512mb of pc133 sdram, etc.

3D applications work great, and previous to this card I used a Radeon
9100 PCI that had no issues with video playback(DVD or other) at all.

I'm running Win2k with ACPI enabled for my O/S.. and although you might
expect ACPI and the PCI bus to limit the card somewhat(and of course it
does), I wouldn't think it'd limit the ability of the card to play
simple low resolution videos if 3D accelleration in complex apps like
3dmark03 or 05 works just fine.

I've seen this problem posted in various groups, but the response is
always something like update your driver, roll back your driver or
update your chipset drivers. All drivers are current, chipet or
otherwise.

Any thoughts?
