Hello:

I use a Chaintech, (I think it is a 7AIA, but I'm not sure) with the
folowing BIOS String

26/9/2000-8363-686-IA6LMC0DC-00

Recently installed WinXP on my PC. Now, for time to time, the system
hangs, giving an ACPI error.

I wonder if there is any workaround or Bios upgrade that solves this
issue.

Any comments are really appreciated.
Thanks

I have a 7aia0 which I think is what you have. The bios seems quirky as
hell on this board. It runs completely stable with a 600 duron chip (thats
what I have been running since I bought it on release).... but I cant get it
to boot stable with an athlon chip. There are some bios upgrades for the
board but none seem to help.

Be sure to check the version of you board... and if all fails try a duron
chip in the range of 600-900 mhz. I have done quite a bit of research and
cant find many running this board with any athlon. Even though Chaintech
USA told me that it supports Athlon 100's up to 1200 Mhz right out of the
box without need for bios upgrade.
