I just checked in Google, and by changing the name of the
Subject, that caused my newsreader to disconnect your post
from your original posting. I see "DRS" has already answered
your question.
Have you considered your concern from the perspective of a
potential answerer ? Why do people answer questions ? What
would motivate them ? After all, it takes time to answer a
question, so there is some "cost".
Is the question interesting ? Is the question unique ? If
the question isn't interesting, maybe one answerer will leave
it to another to handle, and the question gets lost.
I seem to remember that the first questions I asked on here,
didn't get an answer. Which didn't particularly bother
me one way or another. It took me three weeks of work on
my own to figure out my problem.
Some questions automatically elicit more of a response than
others. An innocent noob with a broken motherboard, would
likely get a response. If you changed your pseudonym to
"Cynthia", I bet you'd get more answers. Don't take the
responses you get too personally, as the alt hierarchy
is a "rough neighbourhood". And like fishing, there is
no guarantee that you go home with fish at the end of
the day
