Your DIMMs were installed correctly the first time. You're now in
single-channel mode, and it makes me wonder if one of the DIMMs is
flaky or if slot B1 might be duff. A good troubleshooting step would
be to install only one DIMM and put it in B1. If that works, try
running with only the other DIMM, also in B1. Try running Memtest86
from its floppy, and install Prime95, and run it's torture test. (I
recently had some Corsair RAM that performed well on Memtest86, but
gave errors almost immediately after starting Prime95, the point being
that when you suspect memory problems, it's good to run a stress
program both in Windows and before Windows boots. Replacing that RAM
cured all the BSODs I was having in Windows.)
BTW, you seldom find the latest chipset driver on the Asus CD. The
best practice is to download that driver from the nVidia site..
