Asus A8N-VM CMS and Media shield
I thought this main board has the capability to use media shield driver on
the IDE as well. Is that right? if so how do I get it on the IDE drive. No I
ma not interested in making it into part of an exiting RAID array of SATA
drives. they are different sizes. The IDE is 300 GB although is also
Seagate 7200.9 series

why do they call it media shield ? I don't see anything about the
stuff that would have them call it media shield. Is there more they
aren't telling us ?

the only possible remote semblance of "shield" from the driver would be some
protection against data loss when raid 5 or mirror is used.

I still look for answer on how to get the media shield driver on the IDE
drive
