Post subject: Can AK31 be flashed with wrong BIOS
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>shuttle (more info?)

I'm trying to sort out intermittent crashes on an a friends AK31 system I
built a while ago.
The printing on the mainboard claims to be an AK31 2.1, yet when I last
upgraded the BIOS, it wouldn't let me upgrade using the 2.x BIOS, so I took
a chance and used the 3.x BIOS which the flash software let me do without a
hitch.

I've read in a previous post 07/06/2003 about flashing the AK32 with the
wrong BIOS.
Does anyone know, can this be done on the AK31, and does the same solution
work (AWDFLASH /F)

Help appreciated

Greg
