USB ports 2 & 3 won't recognize anything attached to them. BIOS is
set for all USB. Checked the cables to ensure they were connected
identical to my other AK32A box which works perfectly.

Wondering if others have had a similar problem and what the fix, if
any, was.

I am using the USB ports of an AK32E board without problems. What is
your OS? If Win XP, and if you go to the device manager does it show
the USB drivers working, or is there the yellow exclamation symbol
indicating a driver problem? This is obvious and I presume you both
have checked this already, but just in case ...

Device manager will show them working perfectly if they're enabled in the
bios even if no cables are connected to them. I have a 32L board and the
two standard usb work perfectly. I added cables to a couple of the usb
connectors on the motherboard to add more and they are also working
perfectly. My only suggestion is make sure you have the pin-outs going the
right way.
