What is the "BEST" AMD 64 Socket?

Oh nuts, another "What is best?" queston.

The trouble is that I look around at the current crop and see so many
different socket configurations that I get the feeling that more than a few
of them will be orphaned from the market as was "Slot A" several years ago.
So this "best" question has more to do with obsolence of the socket and
which existing socket will still still be around next year.

Any help, guessses and or speculation appreciated.

Hi,

I'm kind of a newbie to the 64-bit world (aren't we all Smile?), but it
seems that if you're talking AMD CPUs, then 939 has to be the
preference.
