Is it worth enabling CnC with an Athlon64 X2 system ?

My concern is the CPU throttling and its effect on system performance.

What do people here think ? Is it a waste of time ?

I don't use it. I didn't buy a 2.2ghz cpu so it can run at 1ghz. My cpu is
cool and quiet enough running at fuill speed all the time.

The clock throttling is instantaneous, you won't ever notice it going up
or down unless you had a frequency meter.
