I read in the latest cpu mag that amd is going to bring all there cpu
sockets down to 2 standards next spring or summer 2006 one for the dualcore
and fx series and 1 for the sempron line. Does this mean that cpu speeds
have topped out, and we'll just see multicore processors comming out or is
this just another gimmick and we'll see yet another "standard" in 2007?
In 2001 I was able to buy an msi mobo that would run both the duron and xp
cpus. Why can't they do the same for fx, sempron and dual cores? I think the
consumer is getting scammed again
