Post subject: ASUS A7V400-MX and Linux (Fedora?) w/MythTV
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>asus (more info?)

I am a Linux newbee and I am looking to build a low end system to run MythTV
(w/Hauppauge WinTV PVR-350 that handles both mpeg2 decoding and encoding).

What is the compatibility of the A7V400-MX with Linux (Fedora)? Is there
another Socket A MB I should be looking at? BIOSTAR M7NCD?

I run an ASUS A7N8X-E box with XP that has worked well for me but I
understand that this is not very desirable for Linux. I like the built in
10/100/1000 ethernet. For cost consideration I like the built in S3
Graphics Video on the A7V400-MX but is it compatable with X?

Thanks in advance for your responses on this.
