ATI 1650..tale of two heat sinks

Post subject: ATI 1650..tale of two heat sinks
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>videocards>ati (more info?)

I have noticed there are two configurations for the 1650
ATI {atp} being sold. One has an enclosure around the fan the
other seems to have a larger cast metal heat sink instead.
The model number listed are the same. Do either of them
have a better cooling ability than the other???

If you do a google image search for "X1650" you'll see there are far more
than two fan/hs configs. Assuming your case is normally ventilated any of
the designs will function more than adequately.

The two I refered to are ATI manufactured cards . Your
right that there are many "other" ATI 1650 chiped posibilities...

Heat Output of HDTV Wonder? - I've built an SFF (small form factor) PC using an Antec Aria case. The case is not well-ventilated and runs pretty darn hot. I wanted to add an HDTV Wonder to this PC, but now I'm not sure that it is a good idea. Anybody know how much heat the HDTV....
