ATI X800XT Vs GF6800 Ultra first benchmark !

for most of them it's preety close, and considering that the 6800 should

Only it won't be out first. X800 Pro's are in the shops this week.

I think your guess is right. For most things they'll be close. For any
specific game or benchmark that shows one far better than the other, it will
come down to how much effort the developer put into tuning for one vs the
other, and how well the driver was optimized for that game or benchmark.

So in the end, it will be who has the best driver and developer support for a

Dunno....it's kinda fucked up. I was a set to buy the 6800 Ultra, now Ati
have the advantage in AA/AF @ 1600x1200.

Which is what i want to play games at, Nvidia in a panic then releases the
6850 Ultra with a 450Mhz core clock, obiviously then were in a huff and need
to get more fps out.

I've always been an Nvidia man, but with Half Life 2 and Doom III
approaching i need raw power.

And as usual, ATI looses in OPenGL. But all cards are good from both
companies... But the ATI uses far less power and space.

yeah i mean the X800 uses less power. i have a crappy power supply so
the ultra is out of the question. i like the gt, but most likely if i

The X800/XT is the same size as the current ATI 9800 cards (My 9800
was SMALL compared to my Ti4200 I replaced it with and the 5900 in my
other PC which is HUGE and twice the weight.

I like Nvidia... I only use thier chipsets in my computer (so far).
