Hoping you guys can help. Trying to run WinXP (already installed on HDD) on
my AX6BC m/board (BIOS ver 2.59), yet when would normally get to the black
WinXP loading screen, a blue screen flashes up for half a sec, then the
system reboots (don't even get time to see what's on the blue screen).

P2-400 CPU
256Mb RAM
(should technically be enough to run WinXP)

Any ideas why Windows won't load?

FWIW - I've tried doing a fresh Windows install using this board.
Installation process runs through, but same situation as above occurs when
Windows tries to load up for the first time.

I'd try booting linux just to see if it's a hardware problem. You could
try knoppix (http://www.knopper.net/knoppix-mirrors/index-en.html), a
bootable cd that won't change anything on your hard drive. If it doesn't
crash, you most likely have a Windows driver problem. You might want to
remove all but the essential hardware and try installing XP again.
