I have a DVD recorder/player with an sD slot. I'd like to know how I
can read an xD card (from my Fuji camera) using this slot. Is there an
adapter that I can buy so I can read the xD card using the sD slot?

Failing that, I would think that the other option is connect the Fuji
camera up to the DV-in in the DVD machine. This would call for a USB to
DV conversion. Is there such thing? And how can I do it.?

Thanks,
Petre

If such adapter exists, it won't be pretty since xD is a bit wider
than SD cards. You might have an easier (and cheaper too) option of
getting a multi card reader that has both xD and SD slots and getting
an SD card then transfer everything from xD to SD. I have seen a $50
device that can transfer content from any memory slot to any memory
slot without the need of a computer host so you won't need a laptop or
desktop to deal with the transfer. I can't remember if it has xD but
it did support SD/MMC and CF/Microdrives.

I'm sure there are USB to DV adapter somewhere but the camera probably
won't be able to use it since most USB devices requires different
drivers each to function and most camera isn't designed to hold
multitude of USB drivers for various USB devices.
