Hi,

I have a system with an AOpen AX6BC motherboard presently fitted with
128 MB of PC100 SDRAM as a single DIMM. I want to increase the amount of
RAM and can only get 256 MB DIMMs of PC133 SDRAM.

Can the two types (PC100 and PC133) be mixed of should I simply replace
the 128 MB DIMM with a 256 MB DIMM?

Are there any other things I need to be aware of when getting the DIMMs?

Thanks.

PC133 modules should work fine with PC100. HOWEVER, for 256 MB modules,
they must be of a certain type to work with the Intel 440BX chipset
(which the AX6BC has). See this page for more:

To guarantee compatibility, you could go to <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.crucial.com" target="_blank">www.crucial.com</a> and search
for RAM for your specific motherboard.
