Post subject: Advice on video card upgrade

I currently have a Gforce2 MX400 AGP card. I currently play Everquest, while my current card runs GREAT (for as old as it is) with clip plane lowered and spell effect off, i get an occasional video lock up or video card crashes all together. i don't want to spend a lot of money so was wanting some advise on what to choose, here's a few things i have looked at:

Jaton GeForce FX 5200 128MB 64-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X
Evga GeForce FX 5500 128MB 64-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X

any other suggestions would be great, wanna stay under $50 though. I really like Geforce because the current card i have, has done such an amazing job over the many years i have had it, I'm not sure about Radeons, so if you all think that would be a better way to go, then please inform me.

Other specs are:
amd athalon 1.16ghz cpu
1gig ram (will be getting another stick of 1gig with video card purchase)
250gig Harddrive
Windows XP sp2

Please let me know if any other info is needed. Thank You for all suggestion!
