My combo drive will read cds and dvds just fine, but every time I put
in a blank CD-R, Nero and every other cd burning software program I
have tried will not acknowledge that it is a blank CD-R. I have used
many different brands of CD-Rs, so I do not think that is the problem.
I have this drive on Master and the only one on the IDE cable. My
previous cd burner I had on there worked just fine. When I installed
the new drive, nothing is working. I have uninstalled the new drive,
unplugged it, and tried the old drive by itself, and it didn't work. I
have also tried the same thing with my new drive. I have swapped out
IDE cables, still doesn't work. Any Ideas?
