Are there any good overclockers going around these days? The last card I
bought was the X800 GTO2 modded to X850 XT PE specs. This was a great
deal and it still runs today. After looking around though, it looks like
right now may be a lousy time to buy ATI cards.

But I run Slackware 12 and I like the fact that ATI has open-sourced
their drivers. So I'd prefer to go ATI.

Any recommendations?

Regards,

Wad

Most bang for the buck - I am considering a video upgrade. P4 2.6 @ 533Mhz fsb Intel D845PEBT2 mobo (4x AGP max) 1 gig Crucial 2700 ram Leadtek ti4200 64mb videocard etc... Which ATI version should I go for?

Upping core voltage on 9800 Pro/XT - My 9800 Pro (with R360 core but Pro PCB, which I believe is a BBA) now has an XT BIOS. (If you're interested I had more luck in the end with a BIOS I found for an HIS card modified with a 128MB limit, than the modified Club3D BIOS that many people seem....

x800 pro to XT Hard mod - Guys, I have been thinking about doing this mod for some time now. I currently own a Sapphire x800 pro. It has a blue board which is different to what alot of the sapphire boards are, and in particular, most of the people who have done the hard mod have....

ATI WDM TV Audio Crossbar service failed to start - OK, this may push me over the edge... After flogging this ATI-built, AIW 9600XT for the past week trying to at least get it to boot (no video signal, same as has afflicted many others) I finally got everything running. Just can't power it off without..
