I am trying to use, as a second CD drive, an older HP CD-RW. I have it installed as a slave on the primary IDE controller, and both BIOS and Win98SE find it just fine. But when I load a CD, any CD, first the green light on the drive blinks while it seeks, but then the yellow light starts blinking instead. Whasup? I can't find any info on what a blinking yellow light means. I'm guessing the drive is bad; the lazer is shot or something. about the dw-u10a - Hey there, i just got the drive the other day and hada few problems with it. I don't know if it was the media i was using or the drive but I decided to flash it first from the dw-u10a firmware to the dru-500a firmware, as they are the same..
