Hi all,
I just finished putting together a system based on a GA-7VAXP board
and upon powering up everything appeared to be fine.
All drives recognized, memory counted, then a search for drives
attached to the RAID ports IDE3 & 4, which there are none attached but
finally it gets to "verifying DMI pool data" and then "boot from CD"
and then DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND TRY AGAIN".
I have gone into the BIOS over and over and set the 1rst boot device
to floppy and it still wants to boot off of the CD drive.
I have reset to default values, checked the floppy cables which appear
to be good as once I set "seek floppy at bootup" and it did.
I want to run the hard drive setup utilities on floppy, I guess I
could copy them from floppy to CD but, I want to work this out and
have the machine boot to the drive I tell it to.
Scratchin my punkin head over this one......
