just bought an Intel D975XBX2 MoBo and it was interesting to find all the
cabling marked FoxConn.............so is the board manufactured by FoxConn
for Intel................MADE IN CHINA.
Bloody marvellous if it is, cos my current system has a FoxConn MoBo and I
said to myself lets try someone else's in the new setup............hahahhah.
anyway I am fitting together,
Quad Core Q6600 Extreme
XFX 7600GT (until I can get a good priced Nvidia FX1500 or FX3500)
West Digit 250 SATA x 2 (non raid setup)
Corsair XMS6400 Ram 4GB ( 2 x 2 matched)
Thermaltake Toughpower 700W
NEC 7170 SATA DVD RAM
XP Pro OS (until they get Vista right)
hope this lot goes together OK

A few years back Asus made Intel's boards, but they switched
to Foxconn. Intel makes no motherboards themselves. |

As long as Intel writes the manual, provides tech support,
handles warranty issues, updates the BIOS, it shouldn't matter
that Foxconn soldered it together. It is Intel's reputation
that gets damaged, if it is a bad product, so they'll do
whatever is necessary to protect their reputation.

Yes/no/maybe
That doesn't really help a user who buys a board that
Foxconn cut too many corners on. Foxconn is still using
their designs, their manufacturing techniques, etc, which
are not as good as Asus', IMO. Used to be that buying an
Intel board meant you had a top-notch board, even if a bit
limited in configurability. Now I don't see any good reason
to choose one, though they do still have the preferred

Probably not all Foxconn.If it is,they are supposed to stick to Intels'
quality control.
They most likely provided some parts. I've got an MSI video card that has
the Foxconn label on the DVI connectors.

Intel would either accept it or reject it, but not having a

has nothing to do with the rest of the finished component,
