Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>videocards>nvidia (more info?)

I'm putting a new PC together.
I've used Pentium in the past, but never an Athlon. I'm interested in the
x2 4400.
And I'm going with the Nvidia 7800gt with hopes of sli'ing them one day:)
I selected a pair of corsair twinx1024-4400c25 ddr 550 memory. Can you guys
tell me
if this is ok, or should I have selected a different set of memory. Oh,
also I bought a
DFI lanparty ut nf4 sli-dr mobo. Thoughts please, I'm new to Athlon and
Nvidia!

thanks
Gary

I've heard bad things about corsair and Nforce boards and my latest system I
built proved it. I had to return the memory for OCZ, and all is perfect
now.

The NForce 3 chipsets are unreliable, however the NForce 4 chipsets are as
solid as a rock by all accounts.

The Corsair you are getting should be great...I have 3200 speed Corsair,
and can overclock quite nicely at tight timings....admittedly with a bit of
extra voltage.
