Post subject: CD-RW / DVD-ROM Read Problem
Archived from groups: comp>sys>ibm>pc>hardware>cd-rom (more info?)

I have a problem with my CD-RW and DVD-ROM Drive. Basically the problem
is that the two drives sometimes fail to read disks. If the do fail
the read disks (CDs and/or DVDs) then I can solve this by leaving the
disk in the drive and re-starting the computer.

Details:
CD-RW: TDK CyCloneCD 24/10/40B
DVD-ROM: Pioneer 106s
MB: A7V8NX-E Deluxe
OS: windows XP SP2

The CD-RW and DVD-Rom drives are on the same IDE cable with the CD-RW
and the master. I have tried changing the IDE cable.
Any suggestions?
Paul
