Sir I am using a Samsung CD writer (SW - 232 BRNS) and it was working fine. Somebody opened my computer and probably changed my CMOS settings too (in my absence). Now the system hangs up when I put CD-RW in the drive whereas CD-R are read properly. When I start Nero, it also stops at the following message "Scanning SCSI/IDE bus, please wait" (I tried reinstalling Nero, though I strongly believe this to be a hardware problem). Please help! How do you fit an 800 meg file on a cd? - I've downloaded some large files over the internet that I would like archive to a cd, but they are around 800 megs for a single file... Is there some way to edit the file or even to cut off the end to make it fit on a cd? Thanks! Ter

about the dw-u10a - Hey there, i just got the drive the other day and hada few problems with it. I don't know if it was the media i was using or the drive but I decided to flash it first from the dw-u10a firmware to the dru-500a firmware, as they are the same..
