Hello

I had a v7700 running on my a7v for a long time.
the cpu is an old athlon 1,1Ghz
I want to change it to a faster CPU.

can i plug any athlon xp?? which is the faster i can plug?

i want to change it for a good & cheap graphics card too

I have these options:

GEFORCE 4 MX 440 64 MB. DDR AGP TV (around 38 euro)
ATI RADEON 9200SE 128MB.DDR TV RETAIL (around 43 euro)
GENERICA GF FX5200 128 DDR TV RETAIL (around 53 euro)
CLUB 3D FX5200 128MB DDR TV RETAIL 47,52 (around 56 euro)
ABIT GEFORCE 2 MX 400 64 MB. TV 52,20 (around 61 euro)

I supose all of them are better & faster than my v7700 geforce2GTS, aren't
them??

Is my "second computer". I use it for "emuling", some "ieee1394 home video
editing", playing "Day of defeat" (I think ATI is the best for this with the
Steam)

thank you in advance!!

yes, but this board has an fsb100m you need unlock (or buy unlocket) to set
manually another multiplier.

a 18x100 mhz cpu, something more with overclock.

you can purchase a xp2200+ (1800mhz - 13.5x133) to get a 18x100 processor.

another option is a Duron 1800 (18x100), but i'm not sure if this cpu is
valid for the a7v.

No, these cards have poor performace, you need at least a geforce fx5600 or
radeon 9600 pro/xt but not se models.
