Hi all,

I'll probably have to replace my good old CRT (Sony 20se-v, 1994)
because its color temperature became flaky. I was considering a LCD but
don't like the fixed resolution in a 5:4 aspect ratio at displays of
this size, and so I'm rather considering a secondhand good CRT (space is
not a problem).

I'm considering an Eizo F931 (2 years old) and a IBM P260 (3 years old,
Sony trinitron tube) display, I could get both for about 230$. The Eizo
is newer, but doesn't have a trinitron tube. Reviews of both seem to be
pretty good, but the review of the Eizo predecessor (F930) was worse
than the P260 (Cadalyst Labs review).

I'm wondering what ideas you got about these 2 CRTs? Which one would you
prefer, and do you think the prices are justified?

Thanks in advance, Andy

EIZO has got Toshiba Microfilter tube I think... And, I'm working with F55S
model (4 years old)... It is definetly the best monitor I ever seen, and
it's way better than IBM P260... My friend got two second-hand P260, which
had some problems with convergence and geometry... And, the tube was
scratched... Sad

Anyway, I've gotta open my EIZO to check which tube it has got... Wink

Suggestion - go with EIZO... Much better than IBM (SONY in fact)...
