On second thoughts,

I would rather not scrape the barrel. I would prefer to buy a camcorder
tomorrow, and concentrate on the digital camera later, so £500 for a
camcorder, any tips?

It only took him 3 minutes to change his mind from digital camera to
camcorder. By now he could be thinking about buying a pickup truck.
