Anyone have one of these? I got it for Christmas and am having issues with
battery life. It uses 4 double a's. I got 4 rechargeable batterys and have
to replace them after like 10 pictures. It can't use batteries that fast
can it? I think my charger may be bad though because it was smoking and the
side of it melted the first time I charged the batteries. I don't know why
it would smoke or overheat. I would be grateful for any help or info.
Thanks

The first thing I would do, is take that charger back to where I bought it,
Or toss it in the trash.

Get a new and correct charger for NiMh batteries and put the batteries in
the charger with the correct polarity

The next thing I would do the buy some 2500 Mah NiMh batteries and fully
charge them before putting them in the camera.

NiMh stands for Nickel-Metal-Hydride.
Mah stands for Milliamp-hour.
