What makes Cherry Keyboards better then most other keyboards?
I was in a shop today looking for a new keyboard and all of then felt spongy
except this one laptop keyboard sized make by Cherry - said it featured ML
Technology but didn't say what that was.

Anyway the feel of the keys was much nicer and I also noticed that other
makes claim a 100,000 key life whilst the cherry keyboard claimed 2million
key stroke life per key.

Is there another mkae that is get as good as Cherryw ithout the heavy price
tag?

If tey'd had a full sized Cherry keyboard I'd probabaly have bought it, in
the end I when to another store and they had Samsung keyboards on sale and
they were pretty good.

My old keyboard was a Microsoft Internet Pro but the keys started to jam.

I can recommend Logitech keyboards... so much nicer then the cheap crap you
tend to get with machines. Personally I find the tactile and audio feedback
perfect. Maybe it's a little clicky, but it certainly feels right.

I bought a Cherry keyboard for my 386 back in the mid 80's, and have used it
with many systems ever since. It finally just plain wore out a couple months
ago and I replaced it with an expensive MS Office keyboard which in
comparison is an overpriced piece of plastic.

Newer is not necessarily better.

Indeed. But comparing products from 15 years ago is not exactly fair... I
expect it would have cost a whole lot more (inflation taken into account)
than your MS Office keyboard. Actually , it may not have done...
Overpriced plastic with a brand name seems to be the thing these days.

The sweeping statemewnt that cherry keyboards are better maynot necessarily
be true, since I've seen chery keyboards for about 6 quid. I can't imagine
that would last 15+ years! But given their experience with keyboards they
certainly have a head start on many companies...
