You do not clean a bios.You flash it with an upgraded version for the
particular board it was written for.After reading your posts,I suggest
you find a friend or collegue that has experience doing this as you
can make your board unusable by attempting this.

No BIOS bootscreen - I have upgraded my wife's computer with a Biostar M7NCD motherboard w/AMD 2500+ (Barton). Computer is functioning well, but on startup (cold boot or restart), I get no Bios bootscreen. Screen stays black for a few seconds, then goes to the WinXP..

What key do I hit to get into the BIOS? Intel D-850? - I'm trying to fix a friends computer with the Intel D850MB. Does anyone know what key I have to hit at startup to get into the BIOS? It seems the escape or Del aren't doing it for me. Thanks in advance, J. Thinkpad
