here's a quick test for speed.

after you see what you get at your current settings. you can start experimenting on memory timings, etc. in the bios. it under frequency/voltage controls. rerun super pi and you can tell if your speeding things up. it's all trial and error. once you think you have improved things, run prime95

a lot of the ddr and dual this and that is advertising. getting another stick of the same brand, size and timing rating will give you dual channel which will shave several seconds off the super pi score. whether you want to spend the additional cash is up to you.
