Hi!

I recently bought a DFI LanParty Ultra MoBo with an XP-2500, 512MB
RAM; Radeon 9200 128MB. I have been experiencing some hang-ups; sudden
shut-offs and stuff like that (specially on heavy apps, HALO runs
fine). I tried using SAnDRA to burn-in my system, but it shuts down 10
seconds into the burn-in process. System has good cooling; RAM has a
heat sink also.

Any ideas on this???

Thanks!

Yes, two suggestions-

First- Is your power supply beefy enough to handle your system?
Heavy apps= heavy current draw=crash!

I've been fighting some issues with my recently--purchased NFII Ultra.
You didn't mention what OS you're using, I'm using Windows 2000 and I found
that the Highpoint RAID drivers provided with the board are *crap*.
Caused lockups and blue screening. Also drive formatting problems.

A search of the DFI web site turned up newer drivers that I installed,
they are a whole lot more stable but nothing to write home about.

So my first thought is that if you're using RAID, try disabling the Highpoint
controller in BIOS and see if your system stabilizes.

And hats off to all the web site reviewers of this motherboard for not
catching the RAID driver problems on the NFII Ultra.

"Yeah, dudes, this board really ROCKS!"
Morons. Smoke another one.

And hats off to DFI for
providing ZERO customer support, one of the *worst*
web sites I've seen and not returning phone calls.

While this board is actually pretty quick and quite overclockable,
I would not recommend it to
anyone because of the above. Buy it and you're on your own!

what type of power supply do you have...whenever these issues start..I
always look at the power supply, You should have at least a 500w power
supply. You can find great deals on power supplies at compgeeks.com.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Go for quality rather than quantity.
A cheap 500W will not be as good under load as a more expensive smaller
Wattage one, and it's stability under load you need not Kw.
