I need some ideas here because I'm fresh out. KT7A-RAID mobo, latest
bios, keeps blue-screening XP SP2 trying DVD playback.

Tested the memory with memtest, it's fine (512MB) tried 3 different
video cards, tried 2 different sound cards (note video and sound are
the only 2 cards in the system). Updated DirectX to the latest, VIA
chipset drivers 4.43v, all windows updates done, spyware clean
(ad-aware, spybot, windows defender) anti-virus clean.

I get a different stop error almost every time. One time I got an
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, other times I just get a numerical STOP error,
like 07 or 08 (Microsoft blames these on memory, but again, the memory
is fine)

I'm open to suggestions, thanks.

And if I'm forgetting anything let me know and I can post it.

-GV

Go to control panel--Administrative tools-Event viewer and look at the 3
log files, I think that this will probably give you more info than the
nebulous blue screen
