Dell 3007WFP

I have the 3007 and have it hooked up to an AGP X850 - which is not dual
link. The requirement is you need the dual link if you want to display at
native resolution 2560 x 1600 (I think). It displays fine at 1280 by 800.
However if I attempt to install WinXP media or Vista, after the initial
detecting hardware off the CD, it will go black. However you can fully
install Windows XP home or Pro without that issue.

Are you plugging in a standard DVI to DVI or vga to dvi - I didn't have any
luck with VGA to DVI. Also did you make sure that none of the pins on the
DVI cable were pushed in or bent?

Are you *really* sure the cards you have are Dual Link capable? Remeber
that "Dual Link DVI" is _not_ the same like "Dual DVI" (2 DVI ports).

Another thing to observe is that even when most newer GPUs already have
a Dual Link DVI interface integrated it doesn't mean it's necessarily
available on your card. Some card manufacturers cut costs by only
providing Single Link signalling to the gfx card connector.

Are you 100% sure you bought a working monitor?

What do you mean with "VGA to DVI"? The 3007FPW only has DVI/HDMI
inputs, no VGA inputs. If you tried to use one of the DVI-VGA-adapters
to connect the DVI input of the 3007FPW to the VGA out of a gfx card
it's more than obvious it doesn't work - these adapters are made to
connect analog monitors to the DVI-I output ("-I" means the connector
has both digital and analog signals) of a gfx card. It can't work when
connected to a monitor.

Have you selected the correct inputs for the monitor to display? I have the
2007 and can select any 1 of 4 different inputs to diplay. PIP and PBP
notwithstanding.
