Anyone have a Tiger S2466 running dual 2800 MP's?
How about the Tiger S2875 running dual Opteron's?
About to put together a new workstation and interested in opinions on these
two configs.
Thanks for the info.
Best,

Yes, I have the former, and a dual Opteron system using a different m/b
(MSI), both running Linux. The Opteron system is only a 1.4 GHz model, but
it is within 1% of the performance of the 2800+ on our codes. It rocks.

The Opteron, also runs a _lot_ cooler. When I first met one of these chips,
I thought something had to be wrong, since the heatsink, didn't feel more
than a degree or two above ambient, even when running a really heaving
arithmetic load!.

Can you overclock the Opterons without doing any physical mods ?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Dual Opteron's or Dual MP's? |
