I have recently put together a 9NPA+SLi, bought it from Newegg.com and
had no problems for 2 weeks. I even have to say is I worked hard not to
mess up the board with static elec. shocks and made sure ALL the
connectors were just right. Reset the bios and it started up without
any problems. I for one have to recomend this type board.
My board only has the SLi for 2 graphic cards and that gives me up
to 4 monitors. (grin)
The Ultra is without the 2 graphic cards. It is a little hard for
novice users to understand how to tweek at overclocking. So I would
read up on all of it before you try and do it yourself. You can easily
mess up the board! Especially if you put the settings too high.
The RAID part of the board is unknown as how it will work for you. But
it seems that the RAID drivers and floppies you have to make with this
board are just fine. I did read about some Ultra owners having
problems. But that maybe incompetance to reading instructions.

Well, if you spend the extra (what?) $35.00 or so more, I can fully say
that this board is ROCK solid. And that is without pushing it on the
overclocking side.

Could very well be, but are you going to chance it? I've been reading
reviews and specs, which lead me to buy the Epox product.

Same here, and maybe alot of music creation.
My Specs:
9NPA+ SLi
3700+ San Diego AMD 64
2 gigs of Cosair RAM
200 Seagate Ber. HD
Saphire x1800 graphics
Sound Blaster Platinum X-Fi (Note this extreme)
Cooler Master 48 CPU cooler, stays 35-42 C
Cooler Master Centurion Case <-- Has 120mm FANS!!
Depending on your system, your case will make a
big difference. If your running the thought of lower
spec fans, that will be loud. The Cooler Master 48
is a big fan, coupled with the right case and it
does keep the CPU cool. IF your going to overclock,
look at temps above 42 C -- and that it's a good
idea to look into an expensive water cooler if you
overlock alot to spare your CPU.
Since I've been putting together systems since 1994,
my advice is sound, for beginner and advanced user.
See ya in the bytes!
