Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>tyan (more info?)

Hi,

We have just purchased a Barebones system Transport GX28 - B2881 and
have gone to power it on for the first time, and it did not post the
LED display came up with the error code d4, I have tried to locate a
key to decipher what this code means and have been unsuccessful.
Personally I think that our supplier has supplied non-ECC ram and that
it wont work nicely with the pair of Opteron 246's we have in this
machine.

Can anyone help me collect enough information to be able to better
diagnose this fault.

Thanks in advance,

Malcolm McGrath
