I've often thought the S602 would be my favorite camera in the whole
world. But the S7000 is an even better camera. It has some new
features that may take a revision or two before the full capabilities
of the new CCD HR are fully functional.

If it was me I'd buy the S5000 now and use it for a few months and
upgrade to whatever follows the S7000.

I'm also tracking this camera at Pricegrabber.com waiting for the
price to go down. I've heard new models are due out in the next 2-3
months.
