Fake Corsair memory?

Post subject: Fake Corsair memory?
Archived from groups: alt>comp>hardware>overclocking (more info?)

Recently I got this Corsair Value Select memory (VS512MB400) and I´m not
sure it that is really original. On the chips it says Infineon
HYB250256800BT-5 and on the internet i only got Infineon memory modules with
this number but not Corsair. And in Aida32 the module name is Xerox (?!) but
not any trace of Corsair. What is going on around here?

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

Corsair does not make memory chips, they use other manufacturers chips such
as Infinion.....So there is no reason to suspect your memory is not Corsair.
