I have a Gigabyte GA-8SQ800 motherboard which I have had for about 6 months
with no problems,
I have just gone to fit the Firewire 3 port daughter card,
But my AGP graphics card takes up the PCI slot,
Where the daughter card needs to go....

Is there such a thing as a cable that I could use to connect the firewire
card,
To the motherboard (it is 12 pins by 2 pins),
Then I can put the firewire card in an empty slot,

Is this possible?
lisa

On my SINXP board, the FireWire daughter card just fit next to my Zalman
heatpipe (which takes up the PCI slot as well) on my Radeon 9700 Pro and hat
about half a millimeter of space in between. you might try to fit the
firewire casrd first and then put the video card in or vice versa to see
what works.
