You can link two pcs together with firewire and run tcpip over that link.
You could then use an existing modem to connect to a dialup isp, and use ICS
to allow the other system to get to the internet. Or, you can add a
conventional enet nic to one of the pcs, connect that nic to your broadband or
dsl modem, and again use ICS...
