I've tried and tried to connect the IEEE1394 connector to the case front
panel (Skyhawk PSR5619), but I have had no success.

It *should* be easy as all the plugs that go on the pins are separate -
so no rewiring to do - just matching the plugs to the pins.

The board has 9 pins:

12345
6789X

1=TPA-
2=GND
3=TPB-
4=Power
5=GND
6=TPA+
7=GND
8=TPB+
9=Power
X=Missing

The case has 7 wires:

TPA+
TPB+
TPA-
TPB-
GND
VG
VP

Okay, so the 1st 4 are easy.
But then I've got only 1 GND wire but 3 GND pins to choose from. Which
should I use or doesn't it matter?
Then I've got VG and VP & no idea where to put them.
VP=Power? If so, which of the 2 power pins?

Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

Firewire pin assignments are shown at this site, just scroll down a ways.
Be sure to read all the notes at the bottom:
