Hello,

most of you know that Lexar/Panasonic produce the best SD cards. now I
am looking for a equivalent in CF.

which brand/model should I buy?? it should be 256 MB.

From the CF size I gather it's not for a PRO digicam that would need
the extra speed you gain from using SanDisk's Ultra or Extreme.

A Transcend 30x or maybe 45x (one x being 150KB/s as with CD-ROM
speeds) should be very OK in most digicams, even the pro ones... as
the results in the Rob Galbraith CF Performance database clearly
shows - or you might find some other card there if you have one of
the digicams the CFs are tested in.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I just returned a 256mb CF card I ordered by mistake.
$60 and Lexar has a $15 rebate on them.

I bought a 1gb CF from Crucial (not microdrive) for £150. Very happy with
it, wouldn't know (or particularly care) about the speed though.
