Well, another year has past, so it's time to ask my annual question: What
are my options for getting greater than 100Mbps networking on a notebook
computer?

The computer in question is running WinXP Pro, and has 2 CardBus ports and a
single USB 1.1 port. There is no docking station which might be used to
add PCI cards.

Given this hardware, there are really only 2 possible solutions. Either
locate a Gigabit NIC in a PCCard form-factor, or team/bond 2 (CardBus)
100Mbps NICs into a single logical device.

Any advice on this? Thanks.

What's the througput rate for CardBus? Your limit may be there, not with the
NICs.

Anybody who thinks they need greater than 100Mbps on a notebook is
probably doing something wrong, anyway. One should use the right
tool for the job, and all that.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
