Hello !

I know that hdd detection times are different by mainboards(or chipset?).
Anyone knows where i can find these information?

That's a tough one. I would say, even for different models of hard drive,
there are going to be different detection times. Also, having 4 IDE devices
rather than just 1 is going to increase the time. There are too many
variables to consider. CPU speed is also going to be a factor.

HD spin-up time is a factor as well. I seem to remember my 503+ was set
at 4 seconds by default.
