Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard (more info?)

this mobo won't find the sata drive , i have either disconnected the primary
hard drive cable and /or disabled the controller in the bios( i know this
mobo version 2.0 has a hardware limitation of either -or sata vrs. ide
primary- not both). i have tried the "enhanced, auto, combined, and sata only"
settings in the bios but still not "seen" WD1600JS
any ideas?? thank you pete rynas
