I've got a VA-503+ motherboard and it has gone totally dead - even removing
all connectors from the board it does not even give a single beep when I
turn it on!!

Any ideas??

Remove everything from the board. Remove the board from the mounting pegs
in the case and put it on a clean, nonconductive surface. Remove the
battery from the board and close the Clear Password jumper located near the
BIOS chip at the rear LH corner. Leave it that way for a couple of minutes,
then open the jumper again. Put the battery back in the board. Reinstall
just the CPU, fan, 1 memory stick, video card, and connect the power supply,
monitor, and keyboard to it. Also connect the power switch if using an ATX
power supply. Try to power up with just these items installed. If you get
no response, you either have a bad power supply or a bad motherboard. If it
works, then begin to reassemble the computer gradually, powering on after
each addition to make sure it still works. Don't reconnect the drives until
you have put everything else back the way it was.

You're welcome. It's just a summary of all the troubleshooting steps
recommended in this NG for a board that won't POST. Every once in a while
we can revive one.
