Hey there. My Mother has an hp photosmart 320. The people at Wal-Mart said
it needed a memory card, but it doesn't seem to fit into the camera, i'm
scared to just force it in because i don't want to break it. Are there
different sizes of memory cards?

There are serveral different types: Compact Flash, Smart Media, MultiMedia,
Secure Digital, Memory Stick, and the new XD. Memory Stick are pretty much
for Sony product only so that leaves the rest for you.

Check with the manual, it should tell you what kind of memory card you need.
If it's recent, I'm pretty sure you need to use Secure Digital (refered as
SD). If you have the right kind and it won't fit, maybe you are inserting
it the wrong way? Try flipping the card over and see if it'll fit. If that
doesn't fit either, have someone who knows the digital camera check it out
for you.

It takes a CompactFlash card
http://www.sandisk.com/retail_compactflash.html
If the card doesn't have the CF logo ("CF" in a black triangle), or say
'CompactFlash' somewhere on it, don't use it.
If it is a compactflash card, look for the end that a double row of
holes. That end goes in first. Hold the camera with the slot up and drop
the card in. It should drop in almost all the way. If it stops halfway
into the slot, take it out and flip it over.

Ooops, it's "CF" in a black diamond.
