Bios F9
OS Vista Ultimate
CPU Core2Dual E6600

System works perfectly, except - - when I 'hibernate', upon returning to
operation my audio is inactive. It says no audio devices are loaded. I
hesitate to update the BIOS unless it leads to a cure of the hibernation
problem. Obviously this is not a critical or show stopper problem. I
really don't want to 'rock the boat'.

Has anybody had this problem?

Would a BIOS update solve this type of problem?

Thanks,

Very common problem, I have read people complaining about it in a number of
places.

Microsoft have never managed to get the code for suspension and hibernation
cleaned up, resulting in bsod, driver problems like you describe ...
... my impression is that it's gotten worse again with Vista, rather than
better.

Thanks for the input Peter. I guess the suggestion would be to forget about
hibernation. It just won't work without problems.

Thanks,
